Criminals May Have GPS Tracking Technology To Worry About
Ask anyone living in the Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee and Canyon Lake area about the city that has a reputation for being a place where criminal activity flourishes and they will all mention the city of Lake Elsinore. Let me first state that by no means am I suggesting that Lake Elsinore is not a pleasant place to live, but it is strange how there does seem to be a rather large number of news stories about murders occurring in Lake Elsinore or that a murder lived in the city. The Lake Elsinore Police Department is more than aware of the reputation the city has obtained in Riverside County, but that may all change if the city makes the decision to invest in GPS tracking system technology.
We will be the first to admit that the above picture may kind of throw people for a loop, but it is important to emphasize that the city does have a lot of unique and attractive qualities. Obviously, most people living in Lake Elsinore are not criminals, and in fact they want to do whatever is necessary to reduce the crime rates in the city. The citizens of Lake Elsinore, along with the local police department, are all in agreement that more could be done to change the image and reputation of the city that is home to one of the larger lakes in Riverside County. This is why many people are very much for the idea of local police utilizing vehicle tracking technology to monitor criminal and potential criminal activity.
GPS Tracking Systems: Offering Police A Safer Alternative
GPS automotive trackers are already used by many different police departments across the world for a variety of reasons, but one of the most important things car tracking technology offers is the powerful ability to investigate potential criminal activity 24 hours a day. All a police officer needs to do is place a no monthly fee GPS tracker onto a suspect’s vehicle, attaching the system via magnet, and then remotely observe the driving data without ever putting themselves in harm’s way! The police officer will be able to gather evidence, build a case and never be put in the line of danger all through the help of the passive or real-time GPS tracking technology!
TSD contacted the city of Lake Elsinore to gather information whether the city will invest in GPS automobile tracking technology in 2011 and beyond, but the city declined to comment on the matter. Hopefully, the crime rate will decline substantially and Lake Elsinore will regain it’s reputation as a family town, Vehicle tracking technology may help expedite the process.
